ES 4.0.0.30 has been released. You can download it using the credentials in your activation information. If you don't have this anymore you can e-mail me. Reason For Release: A) The Simulation ranking of each horse now appears on the Form View, in line with the Profiler Values and Rankings. B) A "new" code for "Allowance, Option Claiming" races has been discovered in BRIS FILES (*not* TSN files). This code _some times_ appears to mark an AOC (allowance, optional claiming) race. This code is "AO". It is not documented in the BRIS data file format as a valid code. Its appearance is sporadic - not every AOC race is marked "AO", some use the valid code "CO" (optional claiming), or "A" (allowance). This rogue code, "AO", has been added to EquiSim so that when it appears EquiSim will consider this race an Allowance race.

ADDENDUM: You should NOT run the UNINSTALLER for EquiSim prior to installing a new version unless you have a specific reason to or are otherwise instructed. If you run the UNINSTALLER: A) It will remove your SETTINGS database. This will have the effect of removing any wager tags you had currently built, as well as the power move information. B) You will have to Re-Activate. I will attempt to get the installer to NOT uninstall the settings database in the future. Note that it currently does NOT overwrite an existing settings database if you re-install. Its just the UNINSTALL that removes the settings database.

I submitted a question to BRIS about the new "AO" race class designation. I received this feedback: " We are in the process of updating the data file format list on the website. There has been an update of the drf data files to include the race type AO, which is Allowance Optional. This should be updated within the next day or so. If you still have questions about this please let me know." I don't know why they required another code for Allowance Optional, since they already have one (CO). In any event, ES will treat these "AO" races as allowance class races, the same way it treats CO races.
