Hi Everyone,

Some of you are probably wondering what Team1 has been up to. Well with regard to testing of the simulator using Bris datafiles, John and I decided to first work together on the same data to make certain that results were identical. For almost two weeks, we continued to find discrepancies in our results and struggled to find exactly what was going wrong.

Finally we noted some minor factors and/or checking of boxes that were causing the exceptions in our results. Realize this resulted in hours of comparing results and talking on the phone, which truly slowed down the over process.

Over the last week, we have concluded our first simulator testing of AP since 8/1/02 through 9/28. I have attached a copy of our excel spreadsheet of the results and hopefully the attachment is accessible by all of you. If for any reason it doesn't work, I will email a copy to Nathan and have him post it for access by all.

[NPM: Bill's Excel Spreadsheet can be downloaded using this link:]

I would also like to discuss comments I noted from Weatherman. Weatherman realize when the team was forming that we specifically waited for anyone interested to have an opportunity to join the group. And although I certainly want to share any ideas, strategies and finding we come up with, I think you must be willing to participate in the work (a huge undertaking in my opinion). With regard to posting picks or selections, I for one rarely make any decisions of what I will play until I am at the track, have input scratches and view the odds on what I consider to be my contenders in each race. Further, addition changes are made from the biases noted on earlier races in each track that I play.

Everyone in my opinion, my testing is now heading in the direction of analyzing the profiler. I believe the profiler offers much more information with regard to what is needed to win today's race. For example if one sets the profiler for a specific range of dates just prior to today's card, can we determine the important factors for today's race.

Keep sharing,

Hdcper

P.S. Can't seem to attach excel spreadsheet. So will email it to Nathan.

I don't have Excel, any suggestions for the ones that don't have it? when you were signing up i thought there would be some discussion or posts for us to follow, things that works and that don't. i've been posting Equisim picks and about the power numbers hoping others would do the same about other tracks or something i'm missing that could be used to increase ROI. All programs are a starting point to finding a way to make money and your right, i too like to bet the horses once i see them on the track for trifectas superfectas and starting of pic3's thats when i make my best bets. at AP anything stand out?

Weatherman,

Check out the posting by Nathan regarding the Excel viewer. You can download it for free and it will allow you to view excel spreadsheets and also print them out.

If anyone does print the spreadsheet, use landscape and it should print completely on two pages.

Hope that helps,

Bill

Weatherman,

Just utilized the tuning wizard. Like I indicated in my original post in this thread, we are now beginning some testing of the profiler.

Talk to you later,

Bill
