Can anyone help me write a FV formula using this? $hrWeight-$ppWeight[0]

When there is a first time starter in a race, it shows the horse weight. ( Example rather than 121
pounds, I want it to show 0 pounds.) I want this to show the difference up or down in pounds,
but not horse weight, which happens with first time starters.
