I received this error this morning for Bris Download
https://www.brisnet.com/secure-bin/brisclub/brisrep.cgi/mnr910k.zip?dsmnr0910k.zip. No problem downloading this card at TSN. I am using this card because I already downloaded it at work to the Demo version of ES 5. I did do a search for File Grabber Error but could not find this one. Freddy |

Would SP 2 have anything to do with this? Obviously I can still download by going to the Brisnet site but not with file grabber

A) Check to see if it works later.
B) What error did you receive? If you changed anything to your setup - installing a service pack or updating INternet Explorer - it may have changed your security settings. Depends on the error you are getting |

I am still having a problem downloading data files and result files from BRIS, via the File Grabber. No problem at all getting the charts! I get the following error message when attempting to download the data file.
Bad http request:https://wwwbrisnet.com/secure-bin/brisclub/brisrep.cgi/bel0912.zip?drs bel0912.zip I will send you a copy of the actual screenshot.....I did download service pack 2, but would have no idea what to change if anything on the security settings. Help appreciated ....Roger, |

BRIS has not changed the path to the file (the URL). If the FG used to work, then some setting on your machine must have changed.
I just tried downloading BRIS drf data files with FG and it worked on my machine. Unfortunately I'm not an expert in this area. Some places to look: A) Make sure that if you have a firewall of any type that you have it configured to allow the File Grabber to access the internet. B) You can go to the Internet Options under the Tools Menu of the Internet Explorer and look around - I'm not sure exactly what should be turned on though. In the Advanced area, I have checked marks on: HPTT1.1 settings - Use http1.1 In the Security area - check marks on: Enable Profile Assistant Use SSL 2.0 Use SSL 3.0 Warn about invalid site certs Warn if forms submittal is being re-directed. In the security TAB - I have my security level set to "Medium". |

I also downloaded SP 2 so I am guessing that this changed something. Will not let File Grabber into Brisnet but does allow into TSN-Go Figure.

Freddy.
My settings match yours and Nathan's exactly. I enabled the firewall to allow File Grabber. still not able to download the data files or result files, but will download the charts....crazy!! If you ever figure this out, please post it. In the meantime I'll keep playing with it, and download directly from BRIS. Thank's, and good luck......Roger |
