Well, here I am again.
Chart grabber really was strange today. It downloaded no charts. It downloaded blank files for all the tracks I save, even those that were not active yesterday. I checked on the blank files in my download folder and it stated sign in failed. Does anyone know if Bris has changed the access code that file grabber uses? Nathan, would you please check your version to see if it works for 1/30 charts? Thanks Jerry |

Hi Jerry...same results here.
Strange, FG will still download charts from previous days, but won't get any from yesterday. Also, I tried the same URL that FG uses (http://www.brisnet.com/cgi-bin/instant.cgi?type=inc&country=USA&track=AQU&date=2010-01-30&print=on) and the chart is there. Hopefully a temporary issue on Brisnet's end (but I have some doubt). As you say, we'll see what tomorrow brings! W PS...I just found out what's happening. For some reason, the Brisnet URL for yesterday must have the date formatted as 2010-01-30. Any other day did not require "01" eg...2010-1-29 was okay. Apparently FG formats the date as 2010-1-30 So as before, is this a Brisnet mistake or their new way of formatting? We'll See. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Win, |

Hi All
The chart download for 1/31 charts has the same result as the 1/30 charts. All blank files. Also, all the charts you have listed on your save list download, not just the active tracks. Nathan, when you click on a downloaded file it is blank but with a notice "sign on failed" This may mean we have to add a user sign on to the search? Hope you have some time to take a look. Hate to see this great feature become un useable. Jerry |

Hey guys,
I believe the solution right now is that the Brisnet URL date needs to be reformatted to =YYYY-MM-DD Although, it's probably wise to see if the Feb.1 charts follow with that same format. Nathan, don't know if it's feasible, but would it be possible to modify Filegrabber so that the the user can input the URL (or overide the default one) ? W |

Win,
You are correct... kind of.... FG does NOT use this format: http://www.brisnet.com/cgi-bin...=2010-01-30&print=on It uses this: http://www.brisnet.com/cgi-bin...e=2010-1-30&print=on Note the month is '1' vs '01'. Better still. For the 29th, this works: http://www.brisnet.com/cgi-bin...=2010-01-29&print=on AND... So does this: http://www.brisnet.com/cgi-bin...e=2010-1-29&print=on I'm going to put an option in that allows you to change the format of the date string as, given the above, I don't know what format the date will always be in.... |

Hi Nathan
When I click on the Win url it works. When I click on the FG url the failed sign in screen comes up. This is for the 30th. 29th was not a problem. Can you add the sign in to the search? Jerry |

I've modified the File Grabber so that it gives you an option of how to specify the date string in the Instant Charts URL.
You may need to change the format to match the date string of the file as, apparently, they can change.... The options are: y-0m-0d, where a zero will be added if the month AND day are less than 10. y-0m-d, zero added to the month if it is less than 10 y -m -0d, zero added to the day if it is less than 10 y-m-d, date appears without extra leading zeros This version, 3.0.0.1, will be included in the next ES release. If you want it now, download it from here: http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/EquiSimFileGrabber.exe and put it here: C:\program files\thorotech\ESROI6\FileGrabber |

Nathan, what took you so long?
Filegrabber 3.0.0.1 works great! Many thanks! FYI, Brisnet's Feb 1 charts are back to the way they were previous to Jan 30. (YYYY-M-D works again!) Thankfully, the new FG default setting seems to work for either format. Thanks again, W |
