I'll keep this post on top and, until I can get a better system in place, post links to user supplied Formula View Templates here. Tek Capper's Velocity Index Formula View Template: http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/TekCapper-Vi.efr Tek Capper's PCR Formula View Template: http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/TekCapper-PCR.efr Head Hawg's PCR Formula View Template: http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/HH_PCR.efr JimG's Turf Ideas Formula View Template (Thanks MitchS for putting this together) (Updated) A "kitchen sink" template. It has a combination of factors that I look at different one's depending on the type of race. It has PCR Ratings, a Stan's Turf Rating (named after my buddy Stan who is the main originator of the number), Comp, Sim, and Profile Ratings, which of course are lifted directly from your great program, running style and speed points... http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/JimG__Turf.efr Maiden Turf Formula View Template (who implimented this?): http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/MaidenTurf.efr Mitch implimented this in response to a request for a template that: 1. Look at all Past Perfs. at all Distances, Same Surf, for the past 90 days. 2. List all the horses in the race and indicate by how much the horse has met or exceeded par for Speed Fig (BRIS or TSN), 1 column and E2+Late 2nd column and Rank each horse, 3rd column http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/Cole__SpeedPar.efr Here's a template from Win called Pace View: http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/PaceView.efr A template from Scott called E2PlusLate. About the template, Scott says: "The unique thing about the template is I am doing this from the Horse view and not the Past performance view. I thought it might be a good example of how to construct a cross template type FV. I also invoke numerous VBScripts functions such as ASC and CSR" http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/HorseE2PlusLate.efr One of Lou's "Magic" templates: http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/HMB.efr Scott's "Horse Sex" template: http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/HorseSex.efr Scott says this about the template: "I put together a real quick and dirty template to capture the horse's sex, trainer, finish position and payoffs.... Not a lot of magic with this template. The trick is to create the reports off of the database this data is loaded into.... My database simply groups the sex by male (horse, colt, gelding) and female (filly, mare) and then for each trainer produces the following numbers by sex: starts, wins, win % win amount, win ROI and in the money." Jerry's "Win Based" ranking system Formula Template: http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/WIN_FV_1_0.efr Mitch's Impact Value Formula View Template: http://www.thorotech.com/Demos/Impact_Values.efr Thanks for all the work guys!!!

I get a bunch of gobbledygook when I try to download any of these. If anyone has a forumula view template with Pizzolla's stuff (pbs, ppf) and could send it to me at horseplayer3 at yahoo dot com, I would most appreciate it. Been awhile since I posted here, glad to see folks are still using this software. Jim

Anyone here proficient at writing FV templates? I have some ideas but its way out of my league Willing to work out some kind of compensation thanks!

I use the "fv" module in Equisim almost exclusively and enjoy piecing together formulas, but I would not say I'm proficient at it. I have issues with get Profiler values but extracting pp info into an angle is fairly easy. I'll help all I can, and if your formula does a good job I'll keep a copy for compensation. Chris
