I really like EquiSim. I play 2-3 tracks on the weekends. I'm curious how others use EQ. Here is how I use it: 1. I use File Grabber to download previous results and next day DRF Data Files 2. I do a > Profiler Database> Store by Track. Auto store into my database. I only have 1 database that I keep adding to. (I have "Store Extended Ability Stats" and Sore Profiler Values" checked in preferences. Not sure what that means.) 3. I use Tuning Wizard to simulate the last 6 to 10 days (for Win% since I like Pick 3s and Pick4s). If I get a win% over 45%, I use it heavily in my selections, otherwise no. 4. I load the races, print out the simulation charts. Then I look at Race Form view (with Magic Marker on—very helpful). I open my Formula Template and look at Comp, Prof, and Prime Power rankings. I have some not very successful tweaks to pace and final time that I look at. I do NOT use: 1. The Wager component of EQ 2. Profile Controls 3. Simulation with view 4. Fraction Tools 5. Speed Graph 6. Matchups 7. SPAT Controls Looking forward to others modes of use. /Kevin

Hi Kevin, Its been a little slow around here on the forum. I guess everybody is doing there own thing. I too have been away for awhile but I plan to, from now on at least check in everyday and offer any assistance/feedback for users. EquiSim is such an awesome tool for handicappers. There is so much functionality and its design is geared to the newest newbie just getting into the game all the way to the most experienced handicappers with scripting knowledge to design there own scripts within the formula view template. There are only three words to describe EquiSim and that is AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME With so many variables and experience levels, probably no two people use EquiSim the same way, exactly that is. I too use some of the basic functionality and some of the features you mentioned but I also design my own basic numbers within formula view and make templates of things that I like to look at that fits my handicapping style. Actually I look at 4 different handicapping programs, EquiSim being one which includes some of my own basic templates in formula view. I like to see certain numbers converge with multiple programs. Also look at the pace setup of the race/horse to make sure it fits the projection of the race. The last step is too set a fair odds line on the horses left that I'm interested in as to there chances of winning. If there odds are reached or exceeded I make the bet. If not, I watch the race, make notes and then its on to the next race... Have a great day, Mitch
