Hello All,
I've had this system for about a month now. I've done a lot of reading of old threads and the Equisim manual to try to get a grip, and after said month, I've come to understand that I will get nowhere without help. Therefore, with bowed head, I appeal to anyone who can spare the time, "please bring me up to speed". So far, I can work with the racing files, and have used the simulation tuner, but I think I'm missing something, or doing something wrong. I've only tried Aqueduct and am mainly interested in getting a better understanding of Equisim. I have about 5 racing cards from Aqueduct with the results. I am interested in becoming a better exacta player. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Harold

Hi Harold
My suggestion is to pick one part of the program at a time. Try to learn it and ask specific ? if you are having trouble.
There are plenty of people who will help.

Thanks, Jerry.
I am very much interested in pace since, from what I understand, is one of the most important feature. I'd like to know how to find the pace of each horse in the race and know who and who's not up to the task. Thanks again,
Harold

OK,
"To select your own pace lines simply click the check boxes next to the form view." Is this the race form view or the form view. In either case (call me moron) I don't see these check boxes, nor have any of the boxes I've clicked on turned blue.
Thanks,
H

Hi H
Open a card.
Go to form view
Open the Manual to The form view instructions.
Read each piece to understand what you are seeing.
Do the exercises N outlines.
You will see all the pace numbers in the form view for the last few races.
You will need to decide which pace line to use or let ES do it using it's method.
This will get you started.

Hi H
Is this what you see when you open a card? It looks like a racing form.

The Form View
When you first open a data card the first thing you see is the Form View for the first race on the card. Note: EquiSim does not display Quarter horse races if they appear in a card. The Form View is your view of the Past Performances -- the typical stuff you see in publications such as the DRF, along with a whole lot more.

Thanks JustRalph,
I was just thumbing through the threads and quite by accident, I stumbled upon and printed yours (dated 11/22/02). I've gleaned a lot of great suggestions from it. So, when you say "Pick your own pacelines on every race" I reply, Yes Sir! Thanks Again.
