Hello All,
I need help making a template for "fastest speed" at or near the distance of the race their entered. The template should have the name and number of the horse. Then, I'd like to know how fast they've run the distance in the past.I want to know who is the fastest animal in the race period. If the horse has never run the distance, then I'd settle for a distance close to it. What I'm trying to do is similar to what I do when I open a racing form. The first thing I do is write down the fastest time the horse has run todays distance next to each horse. When I'm finished, I know who's the is fastest 2nd fastest and so on. If I had a template like I've explained, It'd save me a lot of time. I've never made a template in my life and my feeble attempts on Equisim were disastrous. I've read, and read, and read, but something I'm doing is just not right. Thanks in advance. Haroldc |

Hi H
Go to the formulas on the web site. Pick one or more and look at how each variable performs. Copy the ones you need to your use. The list of variables in the manual is long. I printed them out. There are also updates not in the manual. You must search the post's to find them. For instance, hrBestSpeed will give you the best overall speed of that horse. That is on the first list of formula variables. You just have to use them, see what they give you and keep practicing. There are some really good formula writers using the program. After you build some FViews and need to refine you cam post a specific ? I am sure some one can help. Jerry |
