JWZ: Selections are not a bad idea. The biggest problem is EquiSim is not a black box. Our selections will depend upon our own prowess as handicappers. In the old days I used to put in 4 to 6 hours the night before studing and marking the racing form. Then at the track study until 15 minutes till post. Make the bets. Watch the live race and start on the next race. Then at the end of the day go home exausted. Too brain dead to play the next day. Now with computer handicapping I do not start to look at the race until 10 minutes till post time and if I do not have my contenders and final selection in 5 minutes, I pass the race and look at another track. If I do have selections then the last 5 minutes are used determining value with race odds and making play or pass decisions. Zig, maybe you can start us off with a weekend card. Pick a track and handicap a race. Do not worry about value because handicapping and betting are two different things. What do you say?

Zig, when we were at the "old board" people were giving analysis which could lead to a selection. Nathan's were particularly cogent and he had some "big wins" There is a spot onthis board called analysis and selections and I would be interested in seeing the more "adept" users post there and would be more interested in the analysis that led to the selection.
