This was posted today on the CJ Pace Board.
I have used the TSN advantage plan(59.95) for the last three years with the pacefigures software. I cancelled my subscription for September . I went back to sign up today for Keeneland and the website said no longer accepting monthly plans. I talked to customer service and was informed that TSN customers will receive a letter next week stating that they are closing down. Brisnet will still be open. I realize that TSN/Brisnet is the same company, and the guy from customer service recommended using the multicaps file for $2 from Brisnet. He thought they would have a monthly plan available but was not sure when that would be. |

Sad news
I hope it turns out to be in error. Jerry |

If you currently have a TSN Equisim database do you now mix Bris data with it or do you start all over new with Bris databases?

Hi K
My view, mix it in. I do not feel there is enough difference to impact things. Jerry |

Jerry I've basically decided to mix and start new databases until I have a complete meet's worth of data in the new Bris database. After that I'll just use the Bris database. The main difference between the two is the different way they each list the trainer's and jockey's names.
Bris will cost $.50 per track more than the $.50 TSN but you will get the Prime Power number and breeding stats. If you used TSN ProCaps you will lose the Class and Race ratings not found in the $1.00 Bris single file unless you want to pay the extra cost for MultiCap files. |

Hi K
Thanks for the heads up. I will keep positive thoughts it will not happen.Jerry |

Bris is going to grandfather those of us using the Advantage plan into their own service until the end of 2010. This means we will have the Multicaps file instead of the Procaps, and I think they're both essentially the same.
Does anyone know if it's possible to modify the FileGrabber to grab and put the Multicaps files into the Equisim file folders instead of the Procaps? Mike |

I am confident Nathan will make that revision for us, won't you Nathan?

Dam I sure hope so. I have used this program for years. Hate to see it all go to waste.

Yes, I will be updating the File Grabber so that it gets multicap files. I should have it ready today or tomorrow.
