quote: Tom, Jornada is just a model of HP's pocket pc line. Then there are Jornadas of differing capacities. They are slowly replacing the Jornada with the iPaq since HP and Compaq got together. Basically there are pocket pc models and Palms. The pocket pc does run Windows with Excel and other apps available. But you have to watch how much RAM the thing has because, let's face it, there's only so much room in something that weighs in at 6.9 oz. Palms use the Palm OS instead of Windows. Whether any of them use DOS is beyond my understanding. Further complicating the above is that you can add Type II (at least that's what you want, some only have Type I) Compact Flash cards that slide in for more memory and apps. I would just take my Compact Flash card out of my digital camera and use it in the Jornada I had until I needed the camera again. Camera is HP too but I'm thinking of one of the new models now that some of the top optics companies are in the digital bandwagon now. They are real computers and the nice thing is you can connect it to your desktop and upload or download information either way. Now as to whether or not you could load ES on one, I ain't got a clue. I would imagine that if you had a Compact Flash card with enough memory you could BUT they do not come with enough RAM or processor speed (233MHz is a fast pocket pc) to do you any good. My take on this (which is worth about half what you are paying for this information If you want more information to confuse you just take a hop over to ZDNet. They have reviews, prices, capacities and recommendations. If you get through all that information, and understand it all, e-mail me quick - they lost me about the fifth review. Hit a big one, Bob

Mark i've been a lurker too and i'm like you 2 or 3 sheets of info is/should be enough, the only ones I see in a Closet is always giving compliment and no selection or how to play.. there's alot of people that look for the postive in a program but i look at the (negative) or what can't get there, when i do a race i have old faithful and then EQUISIM and the condense version of drf from pp gen at bris, i do know that the speed last race and best race speed has the winners around 90% of the time and odds doesn't matter just like EQ. the only thing i don't like about using Bris numbers is they are suppose to adjust from one track to another and they don't, they'll give a 20k cl at GG higher than one at DMR at 20k. Now the rest of the story once i get the results from the 2 programs i use ones a pace program and it doesn't have a data base so i don't keep good records, but i like to look at the horses all the programs in the world or how a trainer is wanting a horse to run doesn't matter if the horse doesn't feel good, there good exceptions HOP or (neg) sponges up their nose or downers, i like to check trainers that are O fers how do they make money not on winning but 2nd and 3rd at 50:1 pays the feed bill, if you think a program will tell you that you need to take up golf anyone one wanting me to make selections for a track email me at bet2win@bm-dist.com I don't sell or tout, just try to make money
