I agree that a demo or trial of DB Direct would be a welcomed additon. Once FV is mastered, creating your own templates and exporting into your own DB would be the next logical transition. The only reason I have not taken this leap yet is the price. If possible I always try to test drive an application before I buy it. That is why I spent a few weeks working with ES before I decided to purchase it about a year ago. And not knowing the full potential of DB Direct I think holds back some of us hardcore ES folk.

I think Matrix Man asked an interesting question. Since you know I am far from a database expert, if I was to become one...would this be easier than learning MS Access? I played around with Access several years ago when I was trying another software and while it was not rocket science, I did not find it intuitive either.

Do you have a write up on DB Direct as far as how it works? If you could point me to it, that would be great.
