Nathan is there any way in the next version that you could place some sort of indicater either on the past performance screen or somewhere on the summary report, if the horse has had at least one 6 furlong workout or more since the last time he raced? I know this will apply more to the allowance and stakes types of horse more so than the bottom of the barrel claimers, although some maiden races will fall in this category, but it seems that the 6 panel work especially after some time off seems to be a good indicator of trainer intent and readiness.

Nathan, you had mentioned previously that the new version will have the ability to print an abbreviated Profiler report for a card.

Currently, I am printing off the Export function, but there is one small problem: I like to have the Style Count info, but the margin in the Export report almost always cuts the last two or three styles off and I have to figure them out myself.

A minor item but, as often as I do it, somewhat annoying.

If the new version handles this, please ignore the request.

Most, if not all, of the functionality in the new version is now in place. Hurray.
I still have to revisit all of the printing and exporting stuff. The Profiler view does now support a "brief" mode, as well as a "sort by" feature. So you may be able to print from it to your satisfaction.

I also have to:
A) Write an entirely new user's manual. I'm going to make this one more of a tutorial than a tecnical guide. It will walk you through the steps of using each aspect of the program.

B) Update the installer.

C) Test the hell out of it.

So, some time yet before its ready, but its getting there.

In the short term, probably not. The reason being is that there are literally hundreds of pieces of information like this that may, or may not be, useful to have "indicated" somewhere. I think the best solution would be to catalog as many of these pieces of information and somehow make the form view, the summary view, or maybe some other view, customizeable so that it displays these pieces of information for each horse when they occur. I won't have time to incorporate that before the next release.

However, I find that the "Mixin Workouts" option on the Form View works very well for this sort of thing. If a recent workout has occurred, you'll see it right on top of the form view.

Would it be possible to isolate each horse's running lines, which would apply to today's conditions, in the FORM VIEW? I believe, selecting the appropriate running line, for today's race, is as important as any handicapping method(s)using ES and the simulation tool. If only pertinent running lines could be shown in the form view, it would lend itself to an easier evaluation and eliminate "eye/mind clutter".

IMHO, if the Primary form view were to show only running lines applicable to today's race and then we had the option to insert other races and workouts would be an excellent way to view/handicap the race. It would also shorten the vorm view printout considerably for printing purposes.

I realize it is too late for next version wishes at this point, but here goes anyway - would like to see some ability to tweak the SIM more. To address confrontational pace matchups in regards to running styles, and jockey/trainer specialties. Gary Darvaux has an excellent sim program, but it is more for rerunning historical races rather than DRF races today. His optional features allow the user to tweak settings to allow the SIM to be variable. In other words, the race is random, and does not always turn out the same way.

Personally, I use the SPAT and Profiler the most, but it is exciting to watch the SIM and interpret how the race might run. For example, in the Belmont, wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to adjust for the Tired quality of Funny cide, and the healed foot and rested Empiremaker. Adding a handicappers vairables into the Sim would really make it exciting as you throw your insight into the race. Anyway, something to think about.
