The information here will walk you through the steps you need to take to make use of the Prof Foundation DB (or any DB with tsn based names) if you don't normally use TSN based names.

A) First thing is to download this utility program I wrote AND this data file and put them in some folder. It can be ANY folder - but make sure BOTH files are in the same folder!

B) BEFORE YOU RUN THIS UTILITY PROGRAM READ THIS. This will add a set of names to your Settings.sdb file - part of EquiSim. This is the way in which EquiSim lets you do analysis on a database - it is the way it knows about names. IF YOU USE THIS UTILITY AND YOU ALSO USE BRIS FILES YOU WILL END UP WITH TWO REPRESENTATIONS OF THE SAME NAME. If you don't care, that's fine - no harm done. If you do care, then consider doing this:

B1: Find this file: C:\program files\thorotech\ESROI4\Settings.sdb and RENAME it to something like Settings.OLD
B2: Now, download THIS BLANK SETTINGS.sdb FILE and PUT IT WHERE THE OLD ONE WAS:

B3: Now when you run the utility you will update the BLANK settings.sdb file. You can then proceed to use THIS settings.sdb file w/ a tsn-name-based-profiler database. When you switch to a bris-name-based-profiler databse, you can just switch the names of the TWO settings.XYZ names around. Of course, you have to remember to do this!

C) OK, with B FIRMLY in MIND, all that you have to do is run the program you downloaded (ESNameImp.exe). UNLESS YOU DID not USE THE DEFAULT INSTALLATION LOCATION WHEN YOU INSTALLED ES, the program is ready to run. Just read the text on the dialog that appears and click "Import Names". If you DID NOT use the default location, then you are savvy enough to use the "Browse for File Button" to locate the Settings.sdb file as directed by the dialog.
