I would appreciate any help with the following.
I am just starting out using Nathan's databases, I have always built mine from the 3 years of BRIS Data and results files that I have for the So. Cal tracks. Nathan has sent me a So. Cal Database but I cannot figure out how to make DIFFERENT databases from his database? What I have at this point is Nathan's So. Cal Database it is one database with SA, Hol, Dmr, on it. So any help on how I can make other SA databases form this would be helpful. Thanks, Chris |

Chris,
Basically Nathan's database was built with TSN datafiles and results using the default filters. If I understand your question right, you want to build additional databases using another set of filters and/or parameters. This can't be done since Nathan's database doesn't include the actual data or result files. The only thing you can really do is export(or separate the database) into individual tracks. This can be done by going to the profiler database dropdown and clicking on database utilities and then export database. However, there is really no advantage to doing this since the profiler only looks at the specific track anyway as long as the filter track is check marked when you profile future cards. In closing, use your Bris files to build the databases you want unless you have decided to switch to TSN. If so, you will have to wait until you have an adequate supply of TSN datafiles and results. Yea, I got that from Nathan.
I have to think about if I want to use datafresh or keep getting my own daily files. Thanks, chris |
